Kela is the Social Insurance Institution of Finland. Kela provides social security coverage for Finnish residents and many Finns living abroad through the different stages of their lives. Nowdays I use Kela services quite rarely, wef times on year. My needs are then medical and medicine expences, Kela usually pays part of them.
I have two children, 14 and 16. Now Kela pays child benefit both of them. My daughter is soon 17 years and she can apply study grant. But parent´s income may affect the amount of financial what student can get. I ordered European health care card. It was very easy to make an order in Kelas website. I will absolutely order that card for all of my family members. The card is available free of charge.
I visited Oma Kanta pages, It was first time for me. It was easy to use and pages were very simple. In Oma Kanta you can see all information and also history of your health. There you can see your electronic prescriptions, records related to your treatment, laboratory tests and X-ray examinations and health records of dependants under 10 years of age. There you can also make your living will and organ donation testament, These both I have to do. This is service, what I should to use more often in the future.
I looked my pension in Keva pages. Earliest time to get pension for me is 1.12.2041 and I will be then 66 years and 2 months. Target pensionable age for me is 68 years and 6 months. Upper age limit is 70 years, it will be in 1.10.2045. I have not visited this service never before. Until this they have been send at home by post. This was very interested see how much I pension will be in these incomes.
